Red River Gum Burl grows along the Red River in Australia on the Red Gum trees. This very hard and heavy burl wood develops naturally with the dark voids within it. Just as a geode is gnarly on the outside surface and beautiful on the inside, I’ve sculpted this wood as a blooming flower to celebrate the wondrous heartwood. The complimenting base is blacksmith-made of steel, by me.
